<br />Enochville Fire & Rescue <br />Rt. 3 Box 288-A <br />China Grove, N.C. 28023 <br />Narch 9, 1988 <br /> <br />Cabarrus Count~ Board of Commissio~ers <br />Concord, N.C. 28025 <br /> <br />Dear Commissioners: <br /> <br />Enochville Fire and Rescue wishes to provide the best possible <br />emergenc~ medical assistance to all people who pa~ tax to support <br />OUt' organization. l~e in no wa~ wish to replace or compete with <br />the well-trained professionals in the Cabarrus Ambulance <br />Service, however our district is approximatel~ eight miles from <br />the nearest Cabarrus Ambulance station and approximatel~ eight <br />miles from Cabarrus Nemorial Hospital. In case of a dela~ in <br />response, we could often have critical patients at the emergenc~ <br />,'oom before Cabart'us ambul once coul d ar'r i ve on the scene. <br /> <br />At present we have a franchise to maKe ambulance runs in Rowan <br />Colmt~. We respond to all emergencies in our fire district that <br />is in Rowan Count~ and transport in cases of emergenc~ when an IV <br />is not needed or when their is a delB~ in colmt~ ambulance <br />response. We also provide mutual aid throughout Rowan Count~ when <br />it is requested. We wish to have a similar franchise in Cabarrus <br />Count~ so we can provide the same assistance to Cabarrus Count~ <br />taxpa~ers in the Enochville Fire District. <br /> <br />Enochville Rescue has two state certified ambulances, one <br />e qui pmen t trucK wi th LUKAS ex tr i CB t i on tool, a genel'a tor, <br />lighting equipment, plus other rescue equipment.
