9. The Applicant agrees to construct the water lines, including any <br /> appurtenant structures and equipment, according to the Plans and <br /> Profiles as approved by the Director and in strict accordance with <br /> the current specifications and design criteria of the Water and <br /> Sewer District of Cabarrus County. The Applicant also agrees to <br /> furnish prior written notice to the Director as to the exact date <br /> construction will begin, and further agrees to furnish the Director <br /> every reasonable facility to ascertain whether or not the work as <br /> performed is in accordance with the specificatioes~ It is <br /> understood and agreed that Inspectors employed by the District shall <br /> be stationed at the work to report as to the progress and <br /> performance of the work, and shall be authorized to inspect any part <br /> of the work done and any material furnished, including its <br /> preparation or manufacture. No water pipe or other appurtenance <br /> shall be placed except in the presence of the Director or his <br /> authorized Inspectors without special permission of the Director. <br /> Such Inspectors, however, shall not relieve the Applicant from any <br /> obligation to perform all of the work strictly in accordance with <br /> the Specifications. In case of any disputes arising as to the <br /> materials furnished or the manner'of performing the work, the <br /> Inspector shall have authority to reject materials or suspend work <br /> until the question at issue can be referred to and decided by the <br /> Director. It is further understood and agreed that the Applicant <br /> shall remove any work or materials condemned as unsatisfactory by <br /> the Director and shall rebuild and replace same to the standard <br /> required by the specifications, all at his own expense and in <br /> default thereof, the same may be done by the District and the cost <br /> charged against the Applicant. Final connection to the District's <br /> water system will not be permitted until all work has been approved <br /> by the Director. <br /> <br />10. The Applicant or the applicantts contractor shall furnish to the <br /> Director written documentation from a certified testing laboratory <br /> that all facilities installed are free from all bacteria prior to <br /> putting any portion of the system in service. <br /> <br />11. Upon the completion of the system as described, the Applicant <br /> shall request from the Director in writing a final ~nspection. <br /> Said inspection shall be scheduled by the Director within 30 days <br /> of the receipt of the request. <br /> <br />12. The Applicant and the applicants contractor agree to guarantee all <br /> work and materials for a period of one year after a successful final <br /> inspection. <br /> <br /> <br />
