Current Membership <br /> <br /> Cabarrus County has four (4) members on this twenty (20) member Council <br /> nominated by the County Commissioners (based on recommendations from <br /> appropriate agencies) and appointed by the Centralina Job Training Consortium <br /> to serve two year terms. <br /> <br /> Current <br /> Term <br /> Name Representing Expires Attendance <br /> 1) Jean Pherigo Private Sector 8-30-88 4/3 <br /> 2) Peggy Dry Private Sector 6-30-89 4/4 <br /> 3) Dr. Ralph Johnston, Jr. Education 6-30-88 4/4 <br /> 4) Bobby Overcash Employment Service 6-30-89 4/4 <br /> B. General Information <br /> <br /> The membership categories are required by Federal legislation. While other <br /> persons may be appointed to replace current members when their terms expire, <br /> they must be from the same category. The Council meets about once every <br /> two months and makes decisions abont the allocation of funds, choice of <br /> subcontractors, etc. The regular meeting schedule is the second Tuesday of <br /> each month, although there will be several months when a meeting won't be <br /> necessary. <br /> <br /> C. Specific Requests <br /> <br /> Please nominate two people t~ fill the positions held by Dr. Ralph Johnston, <br /> Jr. and Jean Pherigo for terms of 7/1/88 to 6/30/90. Please note their <br /> attendance records. Both may serve again. <br /> <br />IV.
