Owens/Planning Director~ <br />DATE: June 21, 1988 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Subdivisio~ Fees <br /> <br />Per our conversation of June 17, 1988, concerning subdivision fees, I would like <br />for the B6ard of Commissioners to entertain 'the idea of revising these fees. <br />Currently Our fees are forty ($~0~00) dollars for the first twenty (20) lots and <br />one ($1.00) dollar for each lot over twenty (20). What the staff i~ proposing <br />is fifty ($50.00) dollars for the first twenty (20) 10ts and an additional <br />two ($2.00) dollars for each lot over twenty (20) lots, This fee ~chedule <br />would keep the county somewhat more in-line with the communities we contacted <br />regarding fee schedules. <br /> <br />There are.only two counties surveyed that are lower than us, these are Gaston <br />and Buncombe counties. The reason being, they do wot charge for subdivisions <br />when being processed for approval. <br /> <br />The Planning. Department would appreciate your consideration regarding this <br />matter.
