C. 28025 <br /> <br /> Dear Mr. Lentz: <br /> <br /> On Tuesday, September 6, the CoUncil of State transferred <br /> 49.892 acres of land to the Cabarrus County Board of Education <br /> from the Jackson Training School Property. <br /> <br /> This property will be the location of a new middle school <br /> which will be constructed to serve the Central Cabarrus High <br /> School District. <br /> <br /> To complete the acquisition of land necessary for the school <br /> site we must purchase an additional 4.79 acres of land which is <br /> privately owned. This property has been properly surveyed and an <br /> agreement to purchase has been signed by the owners. On Tuesday, <br /> September 6, the Cabarrus County Board of Education approvedthe <br /> purchase of this property. <br /> <br /> Therefore, in accordance w~th the general statutes, the <br /> Board of Education re~uests'that you approve the purchase~of this <br /> property.
