Hamby, Jr., Esq. <br /> County Commissioner <br /> 45 Church St~ S.E. <br /> Concord, NC 28025 <br /> <br /> RE: cABARRus COUNTY CABLE TV FRANCHISE <br /> <br /> Dear Mr. Hamby: <br /> <br /> As you requested, enclosed.for the Board of County Commissioners <br /> are copies of a draft Resolution and Frandhise Agreement granting <br /> C4 Media a nonexclusiVe franchise to construct and operate a <br /> cable television system in the Midland area of the county, as we <br /> have proposed. <br /> <br /> The Resolution and Franchise Agreement incorporates by reference <br /> all of the provisions in the county's enabling cable Ordinance <br /> dated November 9, 1978 and C4 Media's Proposal dated July 14, <br /> 1988, and follows the guidelines outlined in Ordinance Section <br /> 4.4. <br /> <br /> If the Board would like to make any changes to this drafti we <br /> would be glad to make them for you since this document is already <br /> in our word processor. <br /> <br /> We appreciate the Board's consideration of our Proposal and <br /> possible first reading of this Resolution granting C4 Media a <br /> franchise. C4 Media isprepared to go forward Width construction <br /> of the system immediately upon award of a County franchise..- As <br /> indicated in our Proposal, we intend to fully complete construc~ <br /> tion of the proposed initial service area Within 18 months, with <br /> our first subscribers' being iDstalled in about 6-8 months from <br /> the date of franchise award. <br /> <br /> At this time, I am not planning to be in attendance at the <br /> Commissioners' meeting on October 11, however, please let me know <br /> if the Board would like us to attend a subsequent meeting in <br /> order to discuss our proposed plans. <br /> <br /> Thank you for your assistance in this matter. <br /> <br /> Very truly yours, <br /> <br /> C4 MEDIA CABLE, INC. <br /> ~L.
