depth number Is specified, the lowest <br /> floor, including basement shall be <br /> elevated at least 2 feet above the highest <br /> adjacent grade, or; <br /> b. together with attendant utility and <br /> sanitary facilities be completely <br /> flood-proofed to or above that level so <br /> that any apace below that level is <br /> watertight with wails substantially <br /> impermeable to the passage of water and <br /> with structural components having the <br /> capability of resisting hydrostatic and <br /> hydrodynamic loads and effects of <br /> buoyancy. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 6_ RE-ENACTMENT AND REPEAL OF EXISTING FLOOD <br /> DAMAGE PREVENTION ORDINANCE <br /> <br />This provision in pert carries forward by re-enactment <br />some of the provisions of the Flood Damage Prevention <br />Ordinance of the County of Cabarrus adopted on March <br />16, 1981. It ia not intended to repeal, but rather to <br />re-enact and continue in force such existing provisions <br />so that all rights and liabilities that have accrued <br />there under are preserved and may be enforced. <br /> <br />All provisions of the Flood Damage Prevention <br />Ordinance, which are not re-enacted herein ara hereby <br />repealed. All suite at Iow or inequity and/or all <br />prosecutions resulting from the violation of any Flood <br />Damage Prevention Ordinance heretofore in effect, which <br />one now pending in any of the courts of this state or <br />of the United States shall not be abated or abandoned <br />by reason of the adoption of this ordinance, but shall <br />be prosecuted to their finality the same as if this <br />ordinance had not been adopted, and any and all <br />violators of the existing ordinance prosecutions for <br />which have not yet been instituted may be hereafter <br />tiled end prosecuted, and nothing in this ordinance <br />shall be construed as to abandon, abate, or dismiss any <br />litigation or prosecution, now pending and/or which may <br />heretofore have been instituted or prosecuted. <br /> <br />Adopted on by the <br />Cabarrua County Board of Commissioners <br /> <br />James W.
