each use. Parking areas shall be paved with dust-fr~e, all-weather <br /> surface, and shall be properly drained and landscaped. Loading areas for <br /> supplies and services shall be sufficient to meet the requirements of <br /> each use. Parking and loading areas shall not be placed within any <br /> required yard and shall be screened and landscaped from adjoining property. <br /> <br /> (g) Storage. <br /> <br /> Outside storage of any materials, supplies or products shall be located <br /> and properly screened so as not to be visible from any property line. <br /> <br />{lO) Performance standards. <br /> <br /> I. Noise. Objectionable noise shall be muffled or eliminated so as <br /> not to become a nuisance to adjacent uses. <br /> <br /> 2. Smoke Emission. Every use shall be so operated as to prevent the <br /> emission of smoke, dust, and dirt, etc., from any source whatsoever, <br /> to standards no greater than permitted by the North Carolina <br /> Department of Natural Resources and Community Development <br /> standards of air pollution for industrial uses. <br /> <br /> 3. Dust and Dirt. Every use shall be so operated as to prevent the <br /> emission in the air of dust or other solid matter which t:~y cause <br /> damage to property, discomfort to persons or animals beyond the lot <br /> line of the property on which the use is located. <br /> <br /> 4. Industrial Sewage and Waste. Every use shall be so operated to <br /> prevent the discharge into any waterway, lake, or the ground. Any <br /> waste which will be dangerous or a nuisance to persons or animals, <br /> or which will damage plants or crops, or any public water supply <br /> at or beyond the lot lines of the property on which the use is <br /> located. The Board of Commissioners must receive a letter of approval <br /> (from the Department of Natural Resources and Community Develop- <br /> ment Division of Water Quality Control) as to th~ m~thod of treating <br /> and/or disposing of any industrial ttaste~ater. The Cabbrrus <br /> County Health Department must approve non-industrial wastewater <br /> treatment facilities up to three thousand (3,000) gallons per day. <br /> <br /> 5. Odors. Every use shall be so operated as to prevent the emissions <br /> of objectionable or offensive odors in such concentrations as to be <br /> readily perceptible at any point at or beyond the lot line of the <br /> property on which the use is located. <br /> <br /> $. Glare. Every use shall be so operated as to prevent glare of such <br /> intensity as to be readily perceptible from a residential district. <br /> <br /> <br />
