Little, Director <br /> Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Department <br /> <br /> Subject: Information for Bid Award of Outdoor Aluminum Bleachers <br /> on Various School Sites <br /> <br /> In August, 1986, the Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Advisory <br /> Con~nission approved Incentive Grant requests submitted by the following: <br /> <br /> (1) the proposed purchase of one set of portable bleachers for Bethel <br /> School Ballfield, designed as five rows and fifteen feet long; <br /> <br /> (2) the proposed purchase of two sets of athletic field bleachers for <br /> Webb School Ballfield, designed as ten rows and thirty-five feet <br /> long each; and <br /> <br /> (3) the proposed purchase of four sets of portable bleachers for North- <br /> west Cabarrus High Ballfield, designed as five rows and fifteen feet <br /> long each. <br /> <br /> A detailed synopsis of the funding ratios of these projects is attached. All <br /> of these projects are funded on a minimum of a 5D% matching basis. Even <br /> though the County was not funding the total cost of all of these projects, it <br /> was determined that all the projects could possibly be funded at a reduced <br /> cost if they were consolidated into one bid. <br /> <br /> Source of Funds <br /> <br /> 1. Bethel School Ballfield Bleachers <br /> <br /> This past February the Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Commission <br /> approved an Incentive Grant Program request submitted by the Southeast <br /> Cabarrus Youth League. The Parks and Recreation Con~nission approved a <br /> grant allocation of $500.00 or 5D% matching funds toward one set of portable <br /> bleachers. The Southeast Cabarrus Youth League will provide the 50~ <br /> matching funds toward this purchase. <br /> <br /> <br />
