Duties of coun~ board of co~ssioners regarding conduct of elecgons; cost of holding. ~e ~ard or county mmmi~ioners, aRer m~ulting with munty ~a~ o~elections, shall set a date for the election by resolu- tion a~opted. ~e county ~d of elections shall hold and conduct the elation in the district. ~e co~t~ ~ard of elations shall ad- ~'e~i~ and conduct ~id election, in ac~rdanm with ~e provisions of this A~icle and ~th the pr~ures pre~ri~ in Chap~r 163 governing the conduct of s~cial and genial elections. No new registration of yoUrs shall ~ require, but the deadline by which unregistered voters must re~s~r shall ~ ~n~in~ in the legal adve~isement ~ be published by ~e ~unty ~ard of elations. The c~t of holding the elation ~ ~blish a ~strict shall ~ paid by the county, provided that if the district iS es~blish~, then the ~unt)' shall ~ reimbur~ the cost of the election ~om the ~es leviedwithin the district, but the ~st of an election to incre~ the allowable ~x under G.S. 69-25.1 or to abolish a ~re district under G.S. 69-25.10 shall be paid from the funds of the district.
