Ra~-~ <br /> FROM; <br /> <br /> DATE: February 25, 1987 <br /> <br /> SUBJECT: ~ TEFAP Administrative Funds Restored <br /> <br /> In the recent past, you received a news release from this department <br /> regarding the status of the Temporary Emergency Food Assistance Program. <br /> On luesday, February 24, 1987, we received information from USDA indicat- <br /> ing the 29% reduction for the second quarter has been restored, as well <br /> as the third and fourth quarter allocations, lhis procedure assures us <br /> the program will be operative through September 30, lg87. <br /> <br /> Please make the necessary preparations to continue the program. We <br /> assure you we will cooperate every way possible to eliminate any down- <br /> time involving the distribution process. <br /> <br /> We very much appreciate your support and understanding caused by the <br /> recent developments which shook the foundations of the program.
