Cook, Jr. <br /> Director <br /> <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> <br /> Date: April 14,1987 <br /> <br /> To: County Manager and County Commisioners <br /> <br /> From: James Graeber, Chair Aging Adv~sory Council <br /> <br /> This is to request time on the Cabarrus County <br /> Board of Commissioners meeting on April 21, 1987. The Advisory <br /> Council wishes to report findings of current research on a <br /> building project for aging services. <br /> <br /> The Aging Advisory Council is requesting the <br /> County Commisioners commit to constructing a new facility or <br /> renovating an existing facility with county seed funds of <br /> oneAthousand dollars each year ~or the next two fiscal years. <br /> The facility is projected to De at least ten <br /> <br /> thousand square feet. Current aging staff would provide the <br /> major operating expense.'Utilities, maintenence, and insurance <br /> is estimated at $6.83 per square foot.The remaining expense <br /> wil be a community coordinator to coordinate satellite services. <br /> <br /> It is the intent of the Aging Advisory Council <br /> to actively pursue other funding resources for the entire <br /> program. <br /> <br /> Thank you for your time and considerstion. <br /> <br /> <br />
