Activities included <br /> housing rehabilitation, sewer project and preparation for project close-out. Began <br /> work on preparing a 1987 CDBG Application. <br /> <br /> Emergency Services Activities <br /> <br /> Continued work, including preparation of draft, on EMS study. <br /> <br /> Met with Emergency Services Director and Mecklenburg representatives to discuss <br /> and resolve problem of UHF frequency crowding. <br /> <br />- - Prepared and submitted UHF Special Project Grant letter of intent. <br /> <br /> Prepared application for $675 in ALS equipment for Cabarrus EMS for this year. <br /> Aging Activities <br /> <br /> TiUe I]I- Social and Nutrition Services <br /> <br /> Assessed status of Chore, Transportation and Congregate Nutrition programs at <br /> Cabarres Department of Social Services during monitoring visit on 3/18/87. <br /> <br /> Assessed status of Kannapolis Senior Center during monitoring visit on 3/25/87. <br /> Assessed status of Logan Senior Center during monitoring visit on 3/25~87. <br /> <br /> TiUe V Senior Community Service Employment Program <br /> <br /> - Conducted program assessment of ,~CSEP Program at L.I.F.E. Center on 3/24/87. <br /> <br /> Long Term Care Ombudsman Program <br /> <br /> - Provided staff support to Cabarrus Nursing Home Committee at its quarterly me'ting <br /> 3/4/87. <br /> <br /> - Coordinated local back-up support to local nursing and domiciliary home committees <br /> with Information and Referral Agency and Department of Social Services. <br /> <br /> - Developed and distributed newsletter on long term care issues - Ombudsman Outlook. <br /> <br /> Training <br /> <br /> - Made presentation to Cabarrus Aging ~etwork 3/9/87. <br /> <br /> - Conducted nutrition education training for nutrition site managers and program <br /> director on 3/28/87 in Charlotte. Eight persons attended from Cabarrus County. <br /> <br /> <br />
