April 17, 1987

Mr. James Graeber
35 Glendale Avenue, Southeast
Concord, North Carolina 28025

Dear Jim:

T~,is letter is to advise you of my resignation from the Senior Citizens
Advisory Council. A copy or this letter is/orwarded to the Cabarrns Conaty
Commissioners for their information.

I am tendering this resignation because over the course of the past
year l have been unable to attend meetings in any regular fashion. 1 had thought
when ! agreed to serve on the council, I would be able to manipulate my schedule
to attend most of the meetings. Unfortunately, my business requirements
simply keep me away from the great majority of the council meetings. I have
always had the personal policy that if I cannot be an active participant in any
committee or organization of which I am a member, then 1 should not take
up the space of another individual

l did try to contact you personally to advise you o£ this decision a mtn]bar
of times but was unsuccessful in reaching you. I am sorry that I am having
to give you this informqtion by letter and certainly remain available to speak
with you should you desire.

NaturaLly, l am more than willing to assist the Senior Citizens Advisory
Council and Senior Citizen projects in general in the future end you may feel
free to ca/2 on me. Best of luck to you and to the committee.

SAG/j ~cc~Sincerely ours,
xc: Cabarrus County Commissioners

LL- I
