mm <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> BETWEEN <br /> <br /> CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br /> AND <br /> <br /> HDR INFRASTRUCTURE, INC. OF NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br /> FOR <br /> <br /> PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES <br /> <br />THIS IS AN AGREEMENT made as of , 1987 <br />between the OWNER, Cabarrus County, with principal offices at Concord, North <br />Carolina, and HDR Infrastructure, Inc. of North Carolina, with principal <br />offices at 640D Fairview Road, Charlotte, North Carolina, hereinafter referred <br />to as "ENGINEER". <br /> <br />OWNER intends to plan, design, and construct Coddle Creek Reservoir upstream of <br />Highway NC 73 in Cabarrus County, North Carolina, consisting of a raw water <br />impoundment on Coddle Creek, raw :~ater intake: raw water pump station and <br />asssociated piping, road relocation, and utility adjustment, hereinafter called <br />the "PROJECI". OWNER and ENGINEER, in consideration of their mutual covenants, <br />herein agree in respect of the performance of professional engineering services <br />by ENGINEER and the pa)~nent for those services by OWNER as set forth below. <br /> <br />SECTION i - BASIC SERVICES <br /> <br />ENGINEER'S basic services and responsibilities are outlined herein aha further <br />defined in the Appenaix, Exhibit A, "Scope of Services", which is part of this <br />Agreement. <br /> <br />1.1~ General. <br /> <br />1.1.1. ENGINEER shall provide, for OWNER, professional services in all phases <br />of the PROJECT to which this Agreement applies as hereinafter proviOed. These <br />services will include serving as OWNER's professional engineering representa- <br />tive for the PROJECT; providing professional engineering consultation and <br />advice' anO furnishing architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, and <br />electrical engineering services and related architectural/engineering services <br />incioental thereto. <br /> <br />1.2. Predesign Phase. <br /> <br />After written authorization to proceeO, ENGINEER shall: <br /> <br />1.2.1. Consult with OWNER to clarify and define OWNER's requirements for the <br />PROJECT and review available data.
