NORTH CAROLINA 28025 <br /> <br /> GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The County Monager's Task Force for the GIS Recommendation <br />arid Selection recommends that the County eater into a <br />contract with ESRI, the lowest bidder, for the mainframe <br />based solution they bid in the amount of $172,433. This <br />amount represents the smallest system that would meet our <br />iai t iai needs, and is within our current year budqet. <br /> <br />In addition lo being the lowest bidder, ESRI was the only <br />vendor that met all the specifications and offered the <br />mainframe solution that we preferred. <br /> <br />It is the considered opinion of the Task Fbrce that ESRI has <br />the best GIS system, regardless of 'p~ ice. This opinion is <br />widely held among Land Records/GIS professionals.
