Archer, Aging Program Administrator <br />DATE: October 30, 1987 <br />RE: Quarterly Status Report el', Aging Programs <br />EBclosed are charts Showing the status report on aging programs in Region F for the <br />period Jnly 1, 1987 througb September 30, 1987. Since one qu~rter o!' the contract <br />period has been completed, at least ~$% of all goals sho'uld have been reached. <br />Cher~3 1 through 3 and chert 6 pertain to the T/tie Ill Social Serviee~ and Nutrition <br />programs. Chart 1 ret'lects the persons served and units of service goals, the number <br />served year to date, and the percentage of the goal. Chert 2 shows the amount of <br />grant funds earned by contractors based on the number of units of service provided <br />under performance based contracting. Chart 3 is a report by Agency on program <br />income c~llected. Charts 4 ned 5 reflect the enrollment and exoenditures of the lead <br />agencies involved in the Title V Senior Community Servi~e Employment Project. Chart <br />6 reflects the average amount of program income collecied per meal served for <br />congregate and ilo:ne delivered fi)eals. <br />Most contracts are near their goal for completion of 25% of the contract period. <br />Ilowever, a l'ew contractors are sigBifieantly below 25% of the goal. Several agencies <br />were funded for new services for the FY'88 contract period. Much of the first <br />quarter was start up time for these services, so few units of service were provi.ded. <br />Area Agency staff will be working closely with those Agencies who are signi£icantIy <br />above or below the goals set for the contract period. <br />We have colapleted the first round o~r assessment visits for FY'~]8 and copies of ¢,ur <br />written reports for tbose visits have been provided to you in rece~tt ~veeks.
