! <br /> <br /> The Director will respond to the request by <br /> furnis'hing a petition to be signed by those interested In <br /> receiving service. <br /> <br /> A minimum of 76% of all affected persons (property <br /> owners) must sign the petition for the project to be <br /> considered for funding. <br /> <br /> Funding of the project will be determined as <br /> follows= <br /> <br /> (I) Construction cost will be computed es all <br /> necessary materJals~ labor, engineering, and <br /> administrative costs. <br /> <br /> (2) The additional cost to increase lines to be <br /> larger than 6 Inches, pumps, tanks, or meters <br /> will be deducted from the construction cost. <br /> <br /> (3) The remaining cost will be divided equally by <br /> nil Of the affected properties. <br /> <br /> (4) For the project to be financially feasible, <br /> the cost must not exceed $1,$00.00 per <br /> property owner. <br /> <br /> The cost for extension of the line can be <br /> made as a lump sum payment or as equal <br /> assessments over a five year period, however <br /> if payment is over the five year period, <br /> interest as shown in the attached fee <br /> 'schedule will be charged. <br /> <br /> C6) In addition to the extension charge, a <br /> service connection fee based on the current <br /> rate schedule will be charged for the meter <br /> installation, However, this fee would only <br /> be charged when the property owner desires to <br /> connect to the system. <br /> <br /> In special cases, where the cost of the project <br />exceeds ~1,500.00 per property owner, the property owners <br />affected could pay the additional costs required. However, <br />the maximum amount assessed against the property would be <br />$300.00 per year for five (5) years plus interest. <br /> <br /> Developed cress that heys publl'c water systems may <br />become a part of the System and shel be addressed as new <br />development. <br /> <br /> <br />
