Section XI - Residential Fees (continued) <br /> <br /> Example: <br /> Increase: $1.00 per cubic yard <br /> <br /> Capacity: 20 cubic yards per vehicle <br /> <br /> Volume: 150 households <br /> <br /> Pro Rata Formula: <br /> $1.00 per cubic yard x 20 cubic yards <br /> = $20.00 per load increase. <br /> $20,00 per load divided by 150 households <br /> = .13 per household x 4.33 weeks per month <br /> (once par week collection) = $ .56 per <br /> month per household adjustment. <br /> <br /> Receipt of written notice by the Health Director shall <br /> be required before any franchise holder institutes <br /> afore mentioned increases. <br /> <br />2. The County Commissioners shall also evaluate the fee <br /> schedule on an annual basis to analyze the impact of in- <br /> creases in operating costs incurred by the haulers. Each <br /> franchise holder shall submit a completed Historical Data <br /> Comparison (Appendix B) for examination of their operating <br /> costs. <br /> <br />SECTION XII - TIPPING FEE <br /> <br />A. All users of landfill, except private users hauling their <br /> own personal residential garbage and rubbish, will be <br /> required to pay a tipping fee according to the schedule <br /> approved by the Board of Commissioners and listed in <br /> Appendix C. <br /> <br />B. Landfill users will be billed monthly by the tenth day of <br /> the month following the month for which the landfill was <br /> used. Payment will be due within thirty (30) days. <br /> <br />C. Tires will be accepted and cut at the rate approved by the <br /> Board of Commissioners and found in Appendix D. <br /> <br />SECTION XIII - PERFORMANCE BOND <br /> <br />Each holder of a franchise shall provide and maintain a perfor- <br />mance bond or cash deposits in amounts determined by the County <br />Commissioners and in any event, in a minimum amount of $10,000 <br />and on file at the County Manager's office of Cabarrus County, <br />conditioned on the faithful performance of their duties here- <br />under, which bond shall be subject to forfeiture in the event <br />of the revocation or suspension of the franchise after the <br />hearings provided for by Section XIII of this Ordinance or in <br />the event of the termination of service to a franchise area by <br />the voluntary act of the holder of the franchise. <br /> <br /> <br />
