CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> · Pos[ Office Box 707 <br /> X~o~x_.~____~.~ Concord, North Carolina 28026-0707 <br /> <br /> MEMO <br /> <br /> TO: Board of Commissioners <br /> FROM: Charles McGinnis <br /> DATE: December ]7, 1987 <br /> <br /> Ms. Alice Hedt, Regional Ombudsman with the Centralina Council of <br /> Governments, provided the following information and recommendations <br /> regarding the Domiciliary Home Co~nunity Advisory Committee and the <br /> terms of appointment which expire on December 21, 1987: <br /> <br /> (1) Mary Bridges - Ineligible for reappointment (Letter to be sent <br /> from the County thanking Ms, Bridges for her service and <br /> explaining that she is ineligible for reappointment undor <br /> the County's policy for appointments to boards and <br /> committees.) Tho Board would need to make a one-year <br /> appointment to fill this vacancy. <br /> <br /> (2) Margaret H. Humann - Appointed in May, 1987 to complete an <br /> unexpired term ending December 21, 1987. Ms. Humann has not <br /> attended a meeting since her appointment. The Board would <br /> need to make a one-year appointment to fill this vacancy. <br /> <br /> (3) Ruth D. Faulkenberry - Nominated by Domiciliary Home <br />,Adminisgrators - Has been an outstanding member and is <br />eligiblm for reappointment for a three-year term. Tim <br />domiciliary homes in the county will have their yequired <br />representation on the ~ommittee if Ms. Faulkenberry is <br />reappointed by the Board. <br /> <br /> Ms. Hedt indicated that she had sent applications for nomination to <br /> persons in the community in an effort to get recommendations for <br /> appointments to fill the positions held by Ms~ Bridges and Ms. Humano. <br /> She has not been able to secure any recommendations. Ms. Hedt further <br /> indicated that it would be very desirable to appoint a nurse to the <br /> committee. <br /> <br /> <br />
