BIDS RECEIVED: <br /> <br /> In response to the Advertisement for Bids, the District received bids <br /> for each contract as listed below: <br /> <br /> Contract No. 8 - Old South Subdivision <br /> <br /> Name of Contractor Total Bid <br /> <br /> Ramey, Inc. $206,352.60 <br /> RDR, Inc. S258,677.77 <br /> Ritchie Construction Co. $326,405.78 <br /> Sanders Brothers, Inc. $342,254.44 <br /> <br /> The apparent low bidder at the bid opening remained the low bidder <br /> after the bids had been checked and certified. A tabulation of bids <br /> with a detailed breakdown of unit prices is attached to this report. <br /> <br />VII. RECOMMENDATIONS: <br /> <br /> While the lowest bid received exceeds the pre-bid estimate, the amount <br /> of this contract and the other seven contracts as amended fall within <br /> the total budgeted amount for the project. The attached cash flow <br /> schedule shows the approximate cash flow for the project. The total <br /> amount shown under Expenses for Construction ($10,308,165.00) includes <br /> all Contracts 1-8. The cash balance shown for FY 86-87, 2nd Quarter, <br /> indicates a cash balance of approximately $172,500.00.
