Pleasant Community Lighting Project as <br /> described in the specifications, be awarded to the overall low bidder, Howard <br /> Electric Company for $11,790.00. The County would like to request the Base <br /> Bid and to add Alternate ~1 and Alternate #2. Howard Electric Company of <br /> Concord is working under Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. Due to that, it does not <br /> have the ability to furnish a Bid Bond (Letter Attached). <br /> <br /> Under the North Carolina Law (G.~. 143-131), concerning informal contracts, <br /> a Bid Bond/Performance Bond isn't required for contracts under $15,000.00. ' <br /> Due to the savings to Cabarrus Coun~y~nd Howard Electric Company's previous <br /> quality of workmanship, I recommend to waiver the Bid Deoosit. <br /> <br /> <br />
