RONALD AYCOCK, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR <br /> <br />DATE: JANUARY 27, 1986 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: COUNTY GOVEP~MENTWEEK PROCLAmaTION <br /> <br />Governor James Martin has signed the enclosed proclamation designating <br />County Government Week on February 23-28. We have forwarded a copy to <br />you so that you might use it in promotional activities or in <br />developing your own county proclamation. <br /> <br />The Governor's Office will be mailing copies if the proclamation'to <br />the news media throughout the state during mid-February. They also <br />will include a special news release. Therefore, you may not want to <br />release a copy of the proclamation to your news media until after Feb. <br />17. <br /> <br />Please inform your commissioners about the availability of the speech <br />which was mailed out to you in late December. Some would like to have <br />copies of the speech on file for future reference, even if they are <br />not planning to use it for County Government Week. <br /> <br />Thank you for your assistance and l~t'us know if we can provide <br />additional information. <br /> <br /> <br />
