NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND INTENTION TO <br /> SUBMIT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AN <br /> APPLICATION FOR APPROVAL OF AN INDUSTRIAL PROJECT <br /> <br /> The Cabarrus County Industrial Facilities and Pollution <br />Control Financing Authority (the "Authority") has determined to <br />issue its revenue bonds in the principal amount of not more than <br />$4,300,000 for the financing of all or a portion of the cost of an <br />industrial project on.behalf of Concord Farms, Inc., a North <br />Carolina corporation (the "Company"), and intends to submit to the <br />Secretary of the Department of Commerce an application for approval <br />of the project if the issuance of the revenue bonds and the nature <br />and location of the project are approved by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of the County of Cabarrus, North Carolina. <br /> <br /> The project consists of the expansion of an existing duck <br />processing facility located at 862 Harris Street, N.W. in Concord, <br />Cabarrus County, North Carolina. Such expansion will involve the <br />acquisition of additional land, the construction of offices, <br />additional buildings, a research and development facility, the <br />expansion and enlargement of freezer and blast freezer facilities <br />and feather processing facilities and the installation of certain <br />equipment in the foregoing (the "Project"). The approximate cost <br />of the project is $4,300,000 and the maximum aggregate principal <br />amount of bonds proposed to be issued by the Authority is $4,300,000. <br />The project will be owned and operated by the Company and will <br />create approximately 43 jobs. The Authority entered into a <br />Memorandum of Agreement with the Company dated october 24, 1985, <br />committing the Authority, upon the satisfaction of the terms <br />contained in such agreement, to issue its revenue bonds on behalf <br />of the Project. <br /> <br /> Please take notice that the Board of County Commissioners of <br />the County of Cabarrus will hold a public hearing in the Commiss- <br />ioner's Meeting Room of the Cabarrus County Courthouse, Concord, <br />North Carolina on March 10, 1986, at 1(~00 o'clock, A.M., at which <br />any person may be heard regarding the proposed issuance of such <br />revenue bonds and the nature and location of the Project. <br />Following the hearing the Board of County Commissioners intends to <br />consider and take action on proposals to approve the issuance of <br />such revenue bonds and to approve the project i~ principle. <br /> <br /> Any person wishing to comment in writing on the proposed <br />revenue bonds, the Project and the submission of the application <br />in connection therewith should do so, within fourteen (14) days <br />after the date of publication of this notice, to.the Authority at <br />P. O. Box 707, Concord, North Carolina 28025, Attention: Chairman, <br /> <br /> <br />
