BOX ?07 CONCORD, NC 28026-0?0? <br /> (?o4) <br /> <br />}-~EMORANDUH <br /> <br />TO: Mr. Charles McGinnis, County Manager <br /> <br />FROM: Walter O dell, Utilities Director <br /> <br />DATE: March 27,1986 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Bid Awards <br /> Water & Sewer District Equipment <br /> <br />Enclosed is a tabulation of bids received on March 21,1986 by the District. <br />The Backhoe, Trailer, and ll,000LB Truck were all bid as specified and <br />award is recommended as follows: <br /> <br /> BACKHOE - CHAP~LOTTE FORD TRACTOR $28,656.45 <br /> TRAILER - CONTRACTORS SERVICE & RENTA/~S 6,885.00 <br /> ll,000LB TRUCK - HILBISB FORD 14,297.29 <br /> <br />The low bidder on the 28,000LB truck did not bid the exact specifications <br />as follows: <br /> <br /> SPECIFIED REAR SPR/NGS 23,340I~3 - Bid 23,000TM <br /> SPECIFIED TRANSMISSION SPICER 5852A - Bid Clark 557 pump <br /> SPECIFIED HOIST & PU~IP - PE~ODY G~J~LION - BID GOODWIN <br /> <br />The bidder was also requested to state a delivery date as days after awards <br />which the low bidder did not, also his bid was not sealed wi~n their <br />corporate seal. <br /> <br />The second bidder met all specifications and requirements therefore award <br />is recon=~ended to Hilbish Ford in the amount of 26,352.00. <br />The total of all bids as reco~ended is $76,190.74 and is within the <br />$80,000.00 allotment for equipment in the bond proceeds. <br /> <br /> <br />
