HcGinois County Hanager Courthouse, Box ?07 Concord, North Carolina 28025 Dear Hr. }IcGinnis: I am pleased to announce that Cabarrus County has been avarded $8,000 matching -funds-unde~.-the-No~th :Carol. ina-Land Records Hanagement Program. -Your application requesting-funds-defined aprogram of land records improvements that viii benefit: the county!s operation and your taxpayers. With 45 counties requesting-grants amounting--Co .almost.$4,000,O~ against only $325,000 in available appropriations, it vas necessary to scale-do~-n the requests accordiag to an impartial and equitable formula. The figures for the recommended grant awards were obtained by prorating the $325,000 among all applicants according to their documented eligibility for funding over the next fiscal year. In addition, the amounts thus obtained vere modified by the imposition of a "ceiling" of $8,000 per county and a "floor" of $I,000 or 501 of the project cost, whichever was less. Attached hereto are two (2) copies of the LRIiP Grant Agreement covering your grant award to be signed and returned to this office. This Agreement states the rules and regulations that govern the funding of the state matching grant for your project. ~hen signed by the proper county officials and returned to Donnld P. Holloway, Director~ N. C. Land Records Hanagement Program, your decision to accept this grant will be for~ally recorded. Agreements not aigned and returned by October 1986 will be deemed to have been declined, and those funds will be redistributed to all other counties accepting their grant awards.
