Box 707 <br /> Concord~ N.C, 28025 <br /> <br /> Governor James Hartin has designatedLNpv~mbe~i 1986~:~i N~ti0nal~ <br /> :~Hospice' Honth in North Carolina. The attached proclamation reads in <br /> <br /> part= "'Through hospice care, terminally ill patients and their families <br /> are assured Of quality medical care as well as strong emotional and spiritual <br /> aupport as they struggle to face their ordeal. In this way, our citizens <br /> may approach the end of their lives in relative comfort and dignity with <br /> competent and compassionate care outside the hospital environment." <br /> Governor Marti~ also urges all our citizens "to recognize the importance <br /> of these institutions, their staffs and volunteers in providing for the <br /> terminally itl during this, the tenth anniversary year of Hospice in our <br /> state." As local working members in a hospice team and in a salute to <br /> the hospice concept, ~e herein request that the County Commissioners of <br /> the county of Cabarrus enact a slmilar resolution to publicly proclaim <br /> additional recognition at the local level. <br /> <br /> Sincerely, <br /> <br /> Executive Director <br /> <br /> <br />
