The attached proclamation reads in <br /> <br /> part= "'Through hospice care, terminally ill patients and their families <br /> are assured Of quality medical care as well as strong emotional and spiritual <br /> aupport as they struggle to face their ordeal. In this way, our citizens <br /> may approach the end of their lives in relative comfort and dignity with <br /> competent and compassionate care outside the hospital environment." <br /> Governor Marti~ also urges all our citizens "to recognize the importance <br /> of these institutions, their staffs and volunteers in providing for the <br /> terminally itl during this, the tenth anniversary year of Hospice in our <br /> state."
