Little, Director <br /> Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Department <br /> <br /> Subject: North Carolina Arts Council's Grassroots Fund <br /> <br /> Attached you will find two requests for funding from the North Carolina <br /> Arts Council's Grassroots Funds. One is for the funding of four part-time <br /> positions on the Cabarrus Youth Theatre staff. The other is for assistance <br /> with building and utility costs for the newly formed Cabarrus Community Band <br /> which will begin rehearsals next month. ~The qrants_will not require additional <br /> G__~enera~lFund appropriations to cover expenditures. <br /> <br /> lhe Youth Theatre program presently receives its funding from the Cabarrus <br /> County Parks and Recreation Department with financial support from the Cabarrus <br /> Arts Council and the North Carolina Arts Counci)'s Grassroots Program. The <br />Jottth Theatre ornoram e~ppn~pR will tntRl ~RzlSOrnO- The Youth Theatre program <br /> basically provides revenues to cover all the program expenses (see Attachment <br /> II and III). <br /> <br /> The Cabarrus Community Band also presently receives its funding from the <br /> Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Department with financial support from <br /> the Cabarrus Arts Council and the North Carolina Arts Council's Grassroots <br /> Program. The Sommunity Band Program expenses will total $2,455.00. The <br /> Community Band Program basically provides revenues to cover all the program <br /> expenses (see Attachment Il. <br /> <br /> On behalf of the citizens of Cabarrus County, I would like to request <br /> authorization to submit these two Grassroots Funds Applications. <br /> <br /> <br />
