NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND INTENTION TO SUBMIT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AN APPLICATION FOR APPROVAL OF AN INDUSTRIAL PROJECT The Cabarrus County Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control Financing Authority (the "Authority") has determined to issue its revenue bonds in the principal amount of not more than $1,200,000 for the financing of all or a portion of the cost of an industrial project on behalf of Marks & Marks, a North Carolina general partnership (the "Company"), and intends to submit to the Secretary of the Department of Commerce an application for approval of the project if the issuance of the revenue bonds and the nature and location of the project are approved by the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Csbarrus, North Carolina. The project consists of the acquisition of an existing 67,125 square foot manufacturing facility located on Commercial Park Drive in Concord, Cabarrus County, North Carolina and the expans- ion and rehabilitation of that facility for the manufacture of corrugated point of purchase displays for consumer goods, in- cluding the acquisition and installation of machinery and equip- ment therein (the "Project"). The approximate cost of the project is $1,200,000 and the maximum aggregate principal amount of bonds proposed to be issued by the Authority is $1,200,000. The project will be owned by the Company, and operated by Kettering Industries, Inc., a Delaware corporation, and will create approximately 12 jobs. The Authority entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Company dated December 11, 1984, committing the Authority, upon the satisfaction of the terms contained in such agreement, to issue its revenue bonds on behalf of the Project. Please take notice that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Cabarrus will hold a public hearing in the Commiss- ioners meeting room at the Cabarrus County Courthouse, Concord, North Carolina on February 4, 1985, at 10:00 ~'clock, A.M., at which any person may be heard regarding the proposed issuance of such revenue bonds and the nature and location of the Project. Following the hearing the Board of County Commissioners intends to consider and take action on proposals to approve the issuance of such revenue bonds and to approve the project in principle.
