NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND INTENTION TO <br /> SUBMIT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AN <br /> APPLICATION FOR APPROVAL OF AN INDUSTRIAL PROJECT <br /> <br /> The Cabarrus County Industrial Facilities and Pollution <br />Control Financing Authority (the "Authority") has determined to <br />issue its revenue bonds in the principal amount of not more than <br />$1,200,000 for the financing of all or a portion of the cost of an <br />industrial project on behalf of Marks & Marks, a North Carolina <br />general partnership (the "Company"), and intends to submit to the <br />Secretary of the Department of Commerce an application for approval <br />of the project if the issuance of the revenue bonds and the nature <br />and location of the project are approved by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of the County of Csbarrus, North Carolina. <br /> <br /> The project consists of the acquisition of an existing 67,125 <br />square foot manufacturing facility located on Commercial Park <br />Drive in Concord, Cabarrus County, North Carolina and the expans- <br />ion and rehabilitation of that facility for the manufacture of <br />corrugated point of purchase displays for consumer goods, in- <br />cluding the acquisition and installation of machinery and equip- <br />ment therein (the "Project"). The approximate cost of the project <br />is $1,200,000 and the maximum aggregate principal amount of bonds <br />proposed to be issued by the Authority is $1,200,000. The project <br />will be owned by the Company, and operated by Kettering Industries, <br />Inc., a Delaware corporation, and will create approximately 12 <br />jobs. The Authority entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with <br />the Company dated December 11, 1984, committing the Authority, <br />upon the satisfaction of the terms contained in such agreement, to <br />issue its revenue bonds on behalf of the Project. <br /> <br /> Please take notice that the Board of County Commissioners of <br />the County of Cabarrus will hold a public hearing in the Commiss- <br />ioners meeting room at the Cabarrus County Courthouse, Concord, <br />North Carolina on February 4, 1985, at 10:00 ~'clock, A.M., at <br />which any person may be heard regarding the proposed issuance of <br />such revenue bonds and the nature and location of the Project. <br />Following the hearing the Board of County Commissioners intends to <br />consider and take action on proposals to approve the issuance of <br />such revenue bonds and to approve the project in principle. <br /> <br /> Any person wishing to comment in writing on the proposed <br />revenue bonds, the Project and the submission of the application <br />in connection therewith should do so, within fourteen (14) days <br />after the date of publication of this notice, to the Authority, at <br />Post Office Box 707, Concord, North Carolina 28025 Attention: <br />Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners, to the County <br />Commissioners,' c/o Clerk of County Board of Commissioners, at Post <br /> <br /> <br />
