Owner's Address and the Person to <br />Whom the Instrument Is To Be Returned <br /> <br /> G.S. 161-30(a) authorizes the board of county commissioners to require that <br />the register not accept for registration any instrument affecting real property <br />unless the face of the instrument shows the name and address of the person to <br />whom the instrument is to be returned and the grantee's or owner's per,manent <br />mailing address. In counties where the commissioners have exercised this <br />authority, the register must determine that the required names and addresses are <br />on the instrument before recording it. <br /> <br /> <br />
