Presented <br /> to the <br /> Cabarrus County Board of Co~m/ssioners <br /> June 17, 1985 <br /> <br /> The Concord/Cabarrus County and the Kannapolis Chambers of Commerce respectfully <br /> request: <br /> <br /> 1. That the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners endorse and support <br /> a general aviation airport to be established in Cabarrus County. <br /> (A general aviation airport being defined as one to accommodate <br /> all civil aircraft and aviation activity, except that of certified <br /> air carriers.) <br /> <br /> 2. That the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners become the <br /> sponsorin9 agency for the proposed general aviation airport <br /> <br />  and that its sponsorship of same be noted, prior tO July 19, 1985, <br /> on the Pre-Application FY86 TIP: State-Local and Federal Aid <br />,% Proposal as previously submitted on April 29, 1985, to the North <br /> Carolina Department of Transportation, Aviation Division. <br /> <br /> 3. That the cabarrus County Board of Commissioners authorize the <br /> county m~nager to contact three or more firms to enter into <br /> <br /> competitive negotiations to select a consultant to prepare a <br /> site selection plan, an environmental impact study and an <br /> airport master plan. <br /> <br /> 4. That the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners authorize the <br /> ways and means to construct and complete said general aviation <br /> airport within a reasonable period of time. <br /> <br /> <br />
