CHARLES A. CANNON MEMORIAL LIBRARY
27 UNION STREET, NORTH
CONCORD~ NORTH CAROLINA 28025

Bate: July 19, 1985

To: Charles McGinnis, County Manager

From: Tom Oil]ard~ Library Director

Subject: Daily revenue turn-in from the Charles A. Cannon Memorial Library,
Kannapolis Branch

.After speaking with Blair Bennett about the necessity for a daily revenue
turn-in from the Kannapolis Branch, I am, upon his advice, requesting that~ for
the remainder of the time in the YMCA iocatio~__the Branch be: exempted from makin9
'~----'-'~-~-ily r~-~en~e~-~urn-in. Blair informed me that under the legal requir~ents,
the library could make (1) a weekly turn-in of revenues collected or (2) a turn-in
~hen the accumulated revenue totals $250.00. I ~uid prefer a ueekly..tur~:.~..so
that the accumulated revenues ~ou]d be sma1].
~0~nt ;~[~'~i}'~i~G~-'~' YHCA ]ocatlon iS sinai} and consists
mainly of fine ~ney, ~hen ue ~ve to the neu site, our revenues should be much
larger based upon photocopy revenue which we do not currently have. 5o after
the ~ve the need for a dairy turn-in will be ~re accute. ~e will a]so have
a daily courier between the ~nnapolis Branch and Concord after ~e ~ve into
the new site and that t~u]d ~re easily faci]ate a daily turn-in.
Blair advises that~approvai is necessary on this matter. As of yet
I have not made a revenue turn-in for this ~nth but I ~ill next ~eek. I am
advised that current revenue collection at the Branch is a small amount.
I a~valt your decesion on this matter.
