This <br />is the amount of ~-~e cheek recently received from the State of North Carolina. <br />The money was provided by Duke Power Company to be used as the local emergency <br />management or§aRization ~eeds to improve response capability for emergencies <br />in Cabarrus County and to cover costs of the manditory exercises for Dukefs <br />nuclear facilities. <br /> <br /> These funds should be placed under the 27-10-355 line item of the budget. <br /> <br /> The funds were not budgeted in the normal budget process because it was <br />not known how much, if aBy~ money would he available. <br /> <br /> <br />
