OPENING, CLOSING~ RECESSINGt ADJOURNING COURT AND COURT CALLS <br /> <br /> The bailiff supervisor will open court at the beginning of.the session. <br />Me will utilize only the approved calls a{tached to this directive. The bailiff <br />will adjourn court for breaks, lunch, and at the end of the day announcing the <br />time that court will resume. After the adjournment and the Judge reenters the <br />courtroom, the bailiff will reopen court. The bailiff will not ask the Judge if <br />he wants the court opened or closed, but will at all times follow these procedures <br />(unless directly ordered not to by the presiding judge). <br /> <br /> The bailiff supervisor will bm required to speak loudly and clearly and <br />should familiarize himself with the calls so that he does not hav~ to read them <br />each and every time. <br /> <br /> When adjourhing court for lunch or breaks, t~e bailiff will announce the <br />time that court ~411 resume or the time d~signated by the judge for the break. <br /> <br /> The judge may leave the court in session and step out of the courtroom for <br />some reason. It will not be necessary ~o close and open court for.these occasions. <br /> <br /> <br />
