Box 707 <br /> Concord, NC 28025 <br /> <br /> SUBJECT: Replacement of NC 200 bridge over Dutch Buffalo Creek <br /> State Project 8,1660301 (B-107?) <br /> <br /> Dear Mr. Byrd: <br /> <br /> This is with reference to your letter of October 22, 1985 regarding <br /> subject bridge replacement. <br /> <br /> We are aware of the frequency of'flooding of this site and can appreciate <br /> the concern you expressed on behalf of the County Commissioners relative <br /> to the proposed replacement. I want to emphasize that the Division of <br /> Highways study and proposals at this point are preliminary and recom- <br /> mendations in the project planning report are as stated; elevation <br /> "approximately the same", and bridge length "abeut". <br /> <br /> It will require a detail analysis of alternatives and cast befere the <br /> final recommended structure and grade are established. This analysis <br /> is accomplished during the design phase of this type project. <br /> <br /> Our latest schedule indicates construction of this bridge in Fiscal <br /> Year 1989.
