NORTH CAROLINA ) <br /> ) PETITION <br />CABARRUS COUNTY ) <br /> <br /> THE UNDERSIGNED PETITIONERS do hereby petition the Board <br />of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus to adopt a <br />resolution declaring its intent to close a public road or <br />easement and call a public hearing on the question pursuant to <br />N.C.G.S. 153A-241 and show in support of said petition: <br /> <br /> 1. The undersigned petitioners are prospective property <br />owners and property owners abutting Tulake Drive as shown on <br />the map of Fingerlake Subdivision, NO. 2 Township, Cabarrus <br />County, North Carolina, prepared by Billy B. Long, Surveyor <br />and filed in Plat Book 19, page 23, Cabarrus County Register <br />of Deeds office. <br /> <br /> 2. The undersigned petitioners do request that Tulake <br />Drive be closed to the public at the intersection of <br />Fingerlake Drive as shown on the above-referenced plat. <br /> <br /> 3. The petitioners show that they constitute all <br />adjoining property owners of the public road or easement and <br />that no individual owning property in the vicinity of the road <br />or in the subdivision or in which it is located would be <br />deprived a reasonable means of ingress and egress, and that <br />the closing of the public road or easement is not contrary to <br />the public interest. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, Petitioners pray that: <br /> <br /> 1. The County Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus <br />adopt a resolution declaring its intent to close a public road <br />or easement and that a public hearing be held on the question. <br /> <br /> 2. That the Board of Commissioners direct that a notice <br />of the closing and public hearing be prominently posted in at <br />least two places along Tulake Drive, and that notice be placed <br />in a newspaper of general circulation in Cabarrus County once <br />a week for four successive weeks. <br /> <br /> 3.
