OF EX?RATERR!TORIAL IqEMHER lO ~HE CO!;CORD PLA!¢I¢iI;G AND ZOII]NG COMMISSION BY THE CABAREUS COUNIY BOARD OF CONIqISSIO[;ERS WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Concord, North Carolina adopted a Zoning Ordinance for said City and its area of extraterritorial jurisdiction pursuans to Ilorth Carolina General Statutes 160A-381 througl~ 160A-394 on July 28, 1977; and WHEREAS, pursuan~ to North Carolina General Statutes 160A-362 and Article X], Section illi of the Concord Zoning Ordinance a means for represen- tation in such matters by extraterritorial area residents is provided; and WHEREAS, said representation is to be in the form of two {2) members of the Concord Planning and Zoning Co~nission being residents of the area of extraterritorial jurisdiction and further that said two (2) members be appointed by the Cabarrus County Hoard of Commissioners; and WHEREAS, one appointee, Dr~ Lynn A. Hughes, has submitted his resignation thereby leaving a need for an appointment to fill his unexpired term until June 30, 1985~ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Concord, North Carolina, that the Cabarrus County Board of Co~issioners is hereby requested to appoint a resident of the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Concord to the Planning and Zoning Commission to complete the unexpired term of Dr. Lynn A. Hughes, who has resigned; and ~E ~T FURTHER RESOLVED that said appointment be made in strict compliance with G.S. t60A-362 of the General Statutes of the State of North Carolina, Adopted this 12th day of January, 1984.
