Lentz, Chairman <br /> FROM: Ange DeVivo, Chairman - EMS Public Education <br /> DATE: December 30, 1983 <br /> RE: EMT of the Year Award - Endorsement by the County Commissioners <br /> <br /> Last year Centralina's EMS Advisory Council sponsored the Emergency Medical Technician <br /> or' the Year Award. We will be sponsoring this award again in 1984. <br /> <br /> If the County Commissioners endorse the award program, every EMS, Reseue, and first <br /> rasponder agency in the county will be asked to nominate a Professional and a Volunteer <br /> EMT. The Regional EMS Public Education Committee will select the best EMT <br /> Professional and EMT Volunteer from each County. The criteria for judging will be <br /> based on the dedication, reeent accomplishments, and overall performance in the EMS <br /> system and in the eommanity by the individual. <br /> <br /> The County Commissioners are asked to endorse this program for their County. No <br /> expenditure is required. If the County would like to involve their EMS Couneil, they <br /> should indicate so. The nominating forms are enelosed for your information, <br /> <br /> To complete our proeess of selecting and judging nominees for an April presentation, we <br /> request your endorsement by January 20, 1984.
