A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONDEMNATION TO ACQUIRE PROPERTY FOR <br /> CONSTRUCTION OF AN INTERCEPTOR SEWER SYSTEM FRei THE TOWN OF HARRISBURG <br /> TO THE ROCKY RIVER REGIONAL WASTEI4ATER TREATMENT PLANT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Cc~nissioners of Cabarrus County hereby determines <br /> <br />that it is necessary and in the public interest for health and safety to construct <br /> \ <br />an interceptor sewer syst~n frcm the Town of Harrisburg to the~ Rocky River <br /> <br />Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant, as designed by Henningson, Durham and <br />Richardson, Engineers, and that it is necessary to acquire certain property for <br />the construction thereof; and whereas, representatives of the County have been <br />unable to acquire all of the needed properties by negotiation and it is necessary <br />to acquire said property by legal condm~nation preceedings; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of C~m~uissioners of Cabarrus <br />County: <br /> <br /> 1. That Cabarrus County shall acquire by cond~mation, for the purposes <br />stated above, rights of way and any necessary punp station sites required by the <br />construction of the interceptor sewer syst~n frcm the T(~m of Harrisburg to the <br />Rocky River Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant as designed by Henningson, <br />Durham and Richardson, Engineers, when said property cannot be acquired by <br />negotiated purchase. <br /> <br /> 2. That attorneys representing Cabarrus County are directed to institute <br />the necessary proceedings pursuant to the General Statutes of North Carolina to <br />acquire said property interests.~~-~' <br /> <br /> <br />
