June 7, 1984

Mr. James Lentz, Chairman
Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners
Court House
Concord, N. C. 28025

Dear Chairman Lentz:

The citizens for C TEC, "Cabarrus Technical Education Consortium",
request you place us on the agenda for the County Commissioners meeting
Monday, June 18, 1984. You and the Board are well familiar with the
importance of a thorough discussion and analysis regarding community
college education in Cabarrus County. It is our hope and desire that
you place this matter as close to the beginning of your agenda as
possible, so as to allow time for appropriate presentation and discussion,
and final action by the Board.

No one can say how many people will be attending this meeting, but I am
confident that the number will far exceed the seating capacity in the
commissioners normal meeting room and I would request that this meeting
be scheduled for the large court room upstairs so as not to deprive anyone
the opportunity to participate and hear the discussion.

Our sincere thanks for granting this request.

Sincerely,

~ames T.
