NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND INTENTION TO SUBMIT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AN APPLICATION FOR APPROVAL OF AN INDUSTRIAL PROJECT The Cabarrus County Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control Financing Authority (the "Authority") has determined to issue /ts revenue bonds in the principal amount of not more than $2,200,000 for the financing of all or a portion of the cost of an industrial project and intends to submit to the Secretary of the Department'of Commerce an application for approval of the project if the issuance of the revenue bonds and the nature and location of the project are approved by the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Cabarrus, North Carolina. The project consists of the expansion of the Company's production, warehousing and administrative facilities, including the purchase and installation of equipment and the construction of additional warehouse and office space on real property leased by the Company at 300 U.S. Highway 29 South, Cabarrus County, all for the purpose of the production and distribution of coffee and tea, the distribution of soft drink syrups and products related thereto (the "Project"] . The initial operator of th~ Project will be S&D Coffee, Inc., a North Carolina corporation (the "Company"). The Project will create approximately 33 new jobs. The Authority entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Company dated April 10, 1984, committing the Authority, upon the satisfaction of the terms contained in such agreement, to issue its revenue bonds on behalf of the Project. The approximate cost of the Project is $2,200,000 and the maximum aggregate principal amount of bonds proposed to be issued by the Authority is $2,200,000. Please take notice that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Cabarrus will hold a public hearing at the Cabarrus County Courthouse, Concord, North Carolina on Augus~ 20, 1984, at 7:00 o'clock, p.m., at which any person may be heard regarding the proposed issuance of such revenue bonds and the nature and location of the Project. Following the hearing the Board of County Commissioners intends to consider and take action on proposals to approve the issuance of such revenue bonds and to approve the Project in principle. Any person wishing to comment in writing on the proposed revenue bonds, the Project and the submission of the application in connection therewith should do so, within fourteen (14) days after the date of publication of this notice, to the Authority, c/o Mr. Leonard H.
