NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND INTENTION TO <br /> SUBMIT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AN <br /> APPLICATION FOR APPROVAL OF AN INDUSTRIAL PROJECT <br /> <br /> The Cabarrus County Industrial Facilities and Pollution <br />Control Financing Authority (the "Authority") has determined to <br />issue /ts revenue bonds in the principal amount of not more than <br />$2,200,000 for the financing of all or a portion of the cost of an <br />industrial project and intends to submit to the Secretary of the <br />Department'of Commerce an application for approval of the project <br />if the issuance of the revenue bonds and the nature and location <br />of the project are approved by the Board of County Commissioners <br />of the County of Cabarrus, North Carolina. <br /> <br /> The project consists of the expansion of the Company's <br />production, warehousing and administrative facilities, including <br />the purchase and installation of equipment and the construction of <br />additional warehouse and office space on real property leased by <br />the Company at 300 U.S. Highway 29 South, Cabarrus County, all for <br />the purpose of the production and distribution of coffee and tea, <br />the distribution of soft drink syrups and products related thereto <br />(the "Project"] . The initial operator of th~ Project will be S&D <br />Coffee, Inc., a North Carolina corporation (the "Company"). The <br />Project will create approximately 33 new jobs. The Authority <br />entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Company dated <br />April 10, 1984, committing the Authority, upon the satisfaction of <br />the terms contained in such agreement, to issue its revenue bonds <br />on behalf of the Project. <br /> <br /> The approximate cost of the Project is $2,200,000 and the <br />maximum aggregate principal amount of bonds proposed to be issued <br />by the Authority is $2,200,000. <br /> <br /> Please take notice that the Board of County Commissioners of <br />the County of Cabarrus will hold a public hearing at the Cabarrus <br />County Courthouse, Concord, North Carolina on Augus~ 20, 1984, at <br />7:00 o'clock, p.m., at which any person may be heard regarding <br />the proposed issuance of such revenue bonds and the nature and <br />location of the Project. Following the hearing the Board of <br />County Commissioners intends to consider and take action on <br />proposals to approve the issuance of such revenue bonds and to <br />approve the Project in principle. <br /> <br /> Any person wishing to comment in writing on the proposed <br />revenue bonds, the Project and the submission of the application <br />in connection therewith should do so, within fourteen (14) days <br />after the date of publication of this notice, to the Authority, <br />c/o Mr. Leonard H.
