Cowan, Director(~~ <br /> Parks and Recreation Department <br /> <br />Subject: Requested Budget Amendment for the Department:'s 81-10-831 Account <br /> <br />During the 1983-84 Fiscal Year, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Com- <br />mission awarded an Incentive Grant tv tile Southeast Cabarrus Athletic <br />Association to construct a Little League Ballfield at Bethel Elementary <br />School. The amount of the Grant was for~5~500. The League's contri- <br />bution was 50% of this amount or a ~otal of $2,750 and was deposited in <br />the F/Y 1983-84 Revenue Budget for the Department. <br /> <br />Due to the lack of detail information on an underground sewer line, the <br />project Was delayed until the current fiscal year and the sewer line had <br />to be relocated around the area to be graded for the ballfield. Because <br />of this delay, only $655.00 of the project's cost was expended in the <br />previous fiscal year budget. Therefore, I would like to request the pro- <br />ject fund balance, $4,845, be brought forward in our current budget to <br />cover the project's cost. The sewer line has been relocated around the <br />playing area and the grading, landscaping and seeding remains to be com- <br />pleted. <br /> <br />Your Consideration of this request is appreciated. <br /> <br />cc: Charles HcGinnis <br /> <br /> <br />
