Harold Nash <br /> Mr. Kenneth Payne <br /> <br />The CabarrUS County Farmers Market, Inc~ requests you to give eareful consideration <br />to making available a parcel of land owned by Cabarrus County, and located between <br />the Cabarrue County Fairgrounds and the Cabarres County School Bus Garage on Union <br />Cemetery Road. This parcel of land contains almost 8 acres. <br /> <br />The purpose of this request is to allow the Cabarrus County Farmers Market, Inc. <br />to develop a permanent farmers market for Cabarrus County, and to receive funding <br />from state or other sources for construction of permanent facilities. We request <br />this property be made available in a way that state funding could be obtained. <br />We would further request that restrictions be placed on the property to ensure i:~:~ <br />long term development of a permanent marketing facility. <br /> <br />1984, and voted unanimously to make this request. We the members of the Board of <br />Directors present at that meeting feel this would help to develop an important <br />industry for Cabarrus County and make good use of this property. <br /> <br />Our justification for this request is outlined on the attached sheet.
