Counties a~e <br /> encourngod to establish a Domiciliary Home Cemmunity Advisory <br /> Committee i{~ each county ~hich has at least one licensed <br /> domiciliary home. The committee shall serve ali the homes in the <br /> county, and shall work with each home for the best interests of <br /> the persons residin~ in each home. Each committee shall be <br /> appointed by the Board of C~unty Commissioners. The size of the <br /> committee, the makeup of its members, and th~ '.~ngth of their <br /> terms will be left to the discretion of the County-Commissioners. <br /> It is desirable for Cou~t~ Commissioners to ~ave input from ali <br /> interested parties, including the. local domiciliary hoae <br /> operators re~ardin9 the appointment of the committees. Each <br /> county shail have th~ necessary- flexibility in mppOintin~] <br /> committee members. Exzsting advocacy committees such as the <br /> <br /> Nursing Home Community Advisory Committees may be utilized for <br /> <br /> this purpose. <br /> <br /> (c) Minimum Qualifications for Appointment. Each member ~ust <br />be a resident of the couBty ~hic~ the committee serves. ~o <br />person or immediate family member of a person ~ith a financial <br />interest in a home served by a committee, or employe~, or <br />-governing aoard member of a home served by a committee~ or · <br />immediate fami.[y member of a resident in a home served by a <br /> <br /> committee ~ay be a member of a comzittee. Any county <br /> commissioner ~ho is appointed to the committee shall be deemed to <br /> be serving on the committee in an ex officio capacity.
