ANNUAL REPORT <br /> <br /> CABARRUS COUNTY ZONING DEPARTMENT <br /> <br /> Shortly after the appointment of the Zoning Board of Adjustment <br />by the County Commissioners in FebrL~ary of 1982, several meeting were <br />scheduled to inform the Board members of the dutias, fnnction and re- <br />sponsibilities of the Board of Adjustment. <br /> <br /> There have been ten (10) meetings to date. Records indicate the <br /> following attendance for each member: <br /> <br />Dr. Franklin C. Miblock Jr.; Chairman 9 Meetings <br />blr. Jack Rankle; Vice-Chairman 10 Meetings <br />Mr. James Weaks 9 Meetings <br />Mr. C, Allen Hough 9 Meetings <br />Mrs. Harriet Ward 10 Meetings <br />Mr, Willia~ McCrary (Alternate) 6 Meetings <br />Mr. Carl Moore (Alternate) 4 Meetings <br /> <br /> During this time period twenty-six (26) cases have been brought <br />before the Board of Adjustment: <br /> <br />CASES GRANTED DENIED WITHDRAWN TOTAL <br />Conditional Use Permits 16 1 17 <br />Variance Cases 4 3 1 8 <br />Interpretations I (upheld) 1 <br /> <br />TOTAL CASE LOAD .......................................................... 26 <br /> <br /> The revenue generated by the case load bas been $2,900.00 as <br />opposed to the expenses incurred of $2,686.32 (excluding mailings, <br />printing and staff time) and include the following: <br /> <br />Perdiam Payment to the Board members, and <br /> <br />Public notices and legal fees <br /> <br /> The total revenne generated from February 1, 1982 thru December 31, <br />1982 including Zoning Compliance Permits, Reference Book sales and <br />Board of Adjustment fees has been $12,227.00. <br /> <br /> <br />
