Box 707 <br />Concord, NC 28025 <br /> <br />Gentlemen: <br /> <br />Please use this letter as our formal request for authorization to <br />operate an ambulance service at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the sole <br />purpose of providing emergency medical services to participants and <br />spectators at the Speedway. <br /> <br />This ambulance is to be certified by the regional EMS office, and will <br />be operated by a certified EMT and certified ambulance driver. Principal <br />use will be to provide stand-by emergency service to tile Jim Russell <br />School of British Racing, which is operating a driving school at our <br />facility approximately 75 to 80 days this year. <br /> <br />Operation of this ambulance service at Cbarlotte Motor Speedway is with <br />the consent and approval of the Cabarrus Rescue Squad. We have no <br />intention of responding to calls from residents nearby; however, we will <br />be more than happy to make the ambulance available to local rescue squads <br />should a disaster occur in the community. <br /> <br />We have been advised by the regional EMS office that their inspector <br />plans to be in this area and will inspect the ambnlance for certification <br />on Tuesday, February 8~ pending anthorization by you.
