O <br /> <br />TO: Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br />FROM: Marcelle >!illoway, James Lentz, and Charles ,'!cGinnis <br />DATE: February 1, 1983 <br />RE: Insurance Study Committee Recommendation <br /> <br />As requested by Chairman Harold Nash on January 17, 1983, the znsurance <br />study committee met with Mr. Ken Doyie~ Group Sales Representative with <br />Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, on Jannary 27, 1953, to <br />discuss health insurance beoefits for retired Cabarrus County employees. <br />Recommendations agreed upon by members of this committee are as follows. <br /> <br />(1) Permit retired Cabarros County employees under age 65 to continue <br /> in the County employees group b0spitalization plan by paying the <br /> monthly premium to Cabarrus County by the first of each month. <br /> This includes any Cabarrus County employee who is under age 65 and <br /> is presently retired. <br /> <br />(2) Permit retired Cabarrus County employees age 65 and above to <br /> participate in the County's group hospitalization plao by paying <br /> the monthly premium to Cabarrus County by the first of each month. <br /> This includes any Cabarrus County employee who is age 65 or above <br /> and is presently retired. <br /> <br /> <br />
