PETITION FOR THE E×TENSION OF THE BOUNDARIES OF THE ROYAL OAKS SANITARY DISTRICT TO the Board of Co~nissioners of the Royal Oaks Sanitary District: The undersigned, Owner of all of the land described hereinbelow, respectfully petitions that all necessary action required by Article 12 of Chapter 130 of the General Statutes of North Carolina for the exten- sion of the boundaries of the Royal Oaks Sanitary District in Cabarrus County be taken so as to annex said ].and and include the same within the boundaries of the said Royal Oaks Sanitary District under the authority of said Article 12 of Chapter 130 of the General Statutes of North Carolina. The purpose of this petition is the annexation of the land or territory described below to said Royal Oaks Sanitary District so that said district will include said territory within its boundaries and so that water and sewerage facilities and other utilities and services which said district is authorized to provide may be provided in said territory for the preservation and promotion of the public health and sanitary welfare therein. The petitioner understands that all costs for the installation of the necessary water and sewer lines in the territory hereinafter described and the connection thereof to the existing lines of the district and legal expenses and costs of annexation will be at its expense, and all work and other matters done in connection with said annexation will be in accordance with the provisions of the district's rules, regulations and policies. The petitioner further understands that following annexation of the territory, the lines installed will become the property of the Royal Oaks Sanitary District and the distric~ will service and maintain said lines. The boundaries of the territory petitioned to be annexed to and included in the Royal Oaks Sanitary District are as follows: BEGINNING at a poin~ in the boundary line of the Royal Oaks Sanitary District where the property line between the properties of T. O. Barrier and Hallmark Homes, Inc. intersects the sani- tary district boundary line, this point lying approximately 223 feet west of the point where the sanitary district boundary line intersects the center line of Concord Lake Road, and runs thence South 31-34-32 East 150 feet to an iron; thence South 57-54-05 West 420.54 feet to an iron; thence South 31-52-14 East 239.86 feet to an iron; thence South 9-51-36 East 29~.76 feet to an iron; thence North 72-07-24 East 447.00 feet to a point on the edge of the pavement of Concord Lake Road; thence along the edge of said road in three courses as follows: (1) South 8-37-03 East 198.92 feet; (2) South 6-56-33 East 188.75 feet; (3) South 1-02-53 West 130.84 feet; thence South 74-33-22 West 882.11 feet to an iron; thence North 31-27-38 West 994.61 feet, more or less, to a point in the boundary line of the Royal Oaks Sanitary Distric~ thence along the boundary line of the Royal Oaks Sanitary District as it runs in an easterly direction for a distance of 1,166.94 feet, more or less, to the point of Beginning.
