Oo Box 707 <br />Concord, North Carolina 28025 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Nash: <br /> <br /> Your co~cern over the environmental iategrity of tile Rocky River <br />Basin is shared by this Division° This letter is to revim~ with you <br />the status of the dischargers mentioned in your January 27, 1983 letter° <br />The following points should address your concerns; however, if you <br />desire more information contact my office. <br /> <br /> 1) All the facilities you mentioned are in compliance with their <br /> existing NPDES permit, or a Special Order by Consent. <br /> <br /> 2) b~oresville is ahead of schedule in the construction of its <br /> new Rocky River Waste Water Treatment Plant, ~ich will re- <br /> place the b~oresville industrial and domestic plants° The <br /> original completion date was September 30, 1984o <br /> <br /> 3) The To~,m of Davidson is currently on a one year permit (expiring <br /> 12/21/83) and is involved in negotiations with the Charlotte- <br /> Mecklenburg Utility Department (Cb~D) concerning the transport <br /> of the town's waste water to a CblUD facility° <br /> <br /> In summary, the Division will continue to enforce the laws and <br />regulations pertaining to the subject facilities and work within the <br />Rocky River Basin to protect water quality~ If I, or my staff can be of <br />further assistance, please contact this office° <br /> <br /> Sincerely, <br /> <br /> <br />
