FIRST A>IENDb~NT <br /> TO <br /> ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION F0R TNt <br /> CENTRALINA INTERLOCAL COOPEk~TIVE CONSORTIUM <br /> FOR 30B TRAINING <br /> <br /> Wq{EREAS, the ondersigned units of local government, to wit, the <br /> <br /> counties of Cabarrus, Iredell, Lincoln, Rowan, Stanly, and Union, in <br /> North Carolina, desire to amend its Agreement (Consortium Agreement) of <br /> June 28, 1983, effecting an undertaking for job training pursuant to the <br /> provisions of N.C.G.S. 160A-460, et seq. and the Federal Job Training <br /> Partnership Act; and <br /> <br /> WHEP~EAS, the State of North Carolina has requested that a provision <br /> <br /> be inserted in the Consortium Agreement specifying the manner of amendment <br /> <br />of such Agreement; and <br /> <br /> ~4HEREAS, a typographical error in Article VI of the Consortium <br /> <br />Agreement needs to be corrected so as to pel'mit action without meeting <br />by the unanimous vote of the consortium members; now, therefore, the <br />undersigned do hereby adopt this First Amendment to the Articles of <br />Association for the Centralina Interlocal Cooperative Consortithm for <br />Job Training, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. A new Article IX is adopted and the existing Article IX is <br /> <br />designated Article X, said new Article IX to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "IX <br /> <br /> These Articles may he amended at any time upon written <br /> <br /> agreement of all of the members, upon ratification of such <br /> amendment by resolution of the hoards of county commissioners <br /> of each member." <br /> <br /> 2. The last sentence of Article VI of the Articles of Association <br /> <br />is hereby rewritten to provide as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />
